Scandinavian Defense | Chess Openings Explained | Middlegame Plans and a Masterpiece

In this video we see a game where I played Scandinavian Defense as Black, and I got a nice victory. I explain typical ideas and plans for Black in this popular variation.

Defects:
Breaks the principle of avoiding the queen out in the opening.
White can get a slightly better position with some different moves and systems.

Virtues:
Black has a solid pawn structure without weaknesses in several lines.
Very often, dynamic and interesting positions are played in middlegame.
You are opponent doesn’t see it very frequently, so, probably he is not very well prepared against it.
