Beginner to Master Speedrun Playlist:
In this Beginner to Master Speedrun Series, I try to climb the rating ladder while providing lots of lessons about chess along the way. In this episode, I play 3 highly instructive chess games that feature lots of lesson about positional chess strategy and middlegame planning.

Oh no! my productivity..
i truly enjoy this series.. keep'em coming!
Oh no! My marriage…
Great games!
150 consecutive wins!
..and they do.
I'd love to get positionally dominated by Gigaeric.
Just got back from a night out and on the way home i was thinking "I hope Eric has put out his next video", and I just said "YESSS!" out loud when I saw the post haha
Good and instructive. Thank you.
10:38 Nc5 looked beautiful there
Eric, these videos are so helpful to me. Thank you.

14:10 that sequence is so insane, complex and beautiful.

24:37 why can't black take on g3?
Oh yes! My morning 🙂
I even had my official Rosen mug out to watch this. 🍕🍵🍕

Oh no! My favorite series back with another episode!
Ivan != Yvonne mate.
The fact that you still haven’t even had a single draw at this level is astounding
first game i thought it was going to transpose into a ponziani looking variant after black n-g6 except black hadn't played p-e5. i suppose that's why you went with the gambit instead of pxd5
oh no my addiction
14:16 is insane move
They should make a series on the story of the pawn from game one
Eric pronounces "Erasmus" — Aerosmith! LOL. 15:37 — Eric, its Uh-razz-mus
Sleep gambit, my favorite!
These games really highlight why tricky gambits are so popular. With Eric committing to sound, solid chess for instructive purposes, a lot of opponents at this level are maintaining good positions deep into the middle game. I suspect Eric could shred most of these players in 15 moves with his more dubious repertoire.
Crazy how you’ve been my nightly routine watch for like 3 years, thanks Eric 👊🏽
Oh no! My morning! But, oh yes! My entertainment!
Anyone else LOVE Eric and LOVE this series, but also LOVE waiting for that first loss 😈
Yes yes 💪
5:30 What is the point in putting the a rook to d1 instead of the f one?
I just started played chess 3 months ago and learned so much from your speedrun series. Yesterday reached 1500 after starting from 400. Always trying to play solid like you do and opponent eventually blunders. But it feels like I've reached a stopping point on elo climb. How do I improve from this point onwards?
Last opponent is actually pronounced as "shukhrat" because "x" is "kh" in cyrillic and he is from Uzbekistan.
43:48 Pawn e4 to e5 was amazing, I didn t see the mate until you said it. And taking the bishop was a brilliant bate for opponent. Congrats, you played perfectly for a human
continue this series all the way to GM eric
Can't wait to see him resign his first game. He is so full of himself. But he is clearly not a GM material.
Eric's chess is so calm and collected like his personality, very nice to watch. I guess it's true that your chess gets represented by your personality atleast a little bit. My is just wild chaos lol
bishop f1 is also Bens move 🙂
Eric could you please point out why it is important to play h6 to kick off the white’s bishop. I came across that move in some mainlines of QGD like structures as well as in your second game in this episode. But I don’t fully grasp the importance. For instance in your case you could have seemingly played a5 right away, but instead you also followed that rule of a6. I would appreciate some clarification. I am 1900+

Perhaps when you get a checkmate or finish a game, you could enlarge the webcam scene so that we can look at you as you're talking!
I have a sort of generic question. I always watch your vids but I am hitting a ceiling below 1000. What should I do to improve. Study openings in depth? Study traps? I was around 900 but have not played for a while and I am not getting at rank 900 right now.
@19:04 – what am I missing? Wouldn't Nd7 lose a piece after Bxf6? Now black's bishop and knight both hang?
WATCHED TWICE IN A ROW, ERIC, YOU KEPT ME UP FAR TOO LATE TONIGHT AND IT'S ALL YOUR FAULT!! … HA! TRUE FACT BUDDY, I THANK YA, IT WAS GRAND AS USUAL.
