The Nimzowitsch Defense is a fun chess opening for black against 1. e4 that starts out with 1. …Nc6! On this channel I have covered Nimzowitsch Defense theory including the Nimzowitsch Defense Scandinavian Variation AND Nimzowitsch Defense Kennedy Variation! Both of these happen when the e4 chess opening player continues taking control of the center with 2. d4. But what happens if we run into 2. Nf3? Well, we could play 2. …d6 going into a Williams Variation OR play 2. …e5 going into an e4 e5 chess opening. The only issue here is that you could face a bunch of different stuff including the Giuoco Piano, Italian Game, Ruy Lopez, Ponziani Opening, Goring Gambit, Scotch Game, Scotch Gambit, Evan’s Gambit, Fried Liver Attack, and more! What if we want to take our opponent out of chess opening theory? What if we don’t want our opponent having all of these top tier e4 chess openings available? One option is playing the Colorado Gambit / Coloradocountergambit!

The Colorado Gambit Starts With the Following Moves:
1. e4 Nc6 (Nimzowitsch Defense!)
2. Nf3 f5?! (Colorado Gambit!)

The Colorado Gambit is one of the craziest chess gambits I have personally ever seen. There are many lines where our opponent goes up material, but is still losing! There might not be as many chess opening tricks and traps compared to something like the Stafford Gambit BUT there are VERY FUN attacking lines nonetheless. In this chess opening theory/chess opening tutorial/chess openings explained video, we look to introduce the Colorado Gambit. The Colorado Gambit is filled with chess opening moves, chess opening ideas, chess opening strategy, chess opening tricks, chess opening traps, chess opening principles, and chess opening theory. It is a fun chess opening for black, fun chess opening for beginners (fun beginner chess opening), and fun chess opening in general. Let us know your thoughts on the Colorado Gambit chess opening for black coming out of the Nimzowitsch Defense!
